Aisha Jamila hinds is a popular American actor. She is known for her roles in the the TV show The Shield, and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut she has demonstrated her versatility in acting by providing outstanding performances on television series like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. Her first recognition came from her role as Anna in the 2005 movie Assault on Precinct 13. It was however her portrayal of the women's rights activists Fannie Lou Hamer in the biographical film All the Way that finally brought her recognition as an actor. Hind also earned high praise for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman on WGN America's drama period series Underground.
