Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds Soul gospel Jazz and R&B in a signature mix. Avery Sunshine's performances have been on Broadway and at festivals in Europe as well as her appearance at the Democratic National Convention. The real name of Sunshine is Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta however, she comes in Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing and playing piano in churches. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music in Atlanta's R&B scene. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls, the theatre production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was brought to the attention of America during the 4 performances a day during the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later requested to sing with President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
